News from our June Meeting

A coach and tickets are now booked for the summer outing to Lullingstone Quilt & Craft Festival on 16 July. The coach will leave at 9am from near the Tesco in Kew Village (near Kew Gardens Tube Station). There are 2 seats left on the coach if anyone changes their mind, otherwise we’ll have to fill them with our shopping.
It was our second Sewing Star vote tonight, last month’s Postcard challenge being won by Kay. This month’s challenge was to make an A3 quilted piece inspired by, and incorporating a nature badge and voting gave a tie to Benta and Sue H - congratulations to both.
Part of the evening was an Extra General Meeting at which new subscription and meeting fees were agreed as was a new Constitution. Details of the payment options and a copy of the new constitution are on the website. Minutes of the EGM are circulated privately to members.
Later in the meeting we had a short workshop on how to make embellished tissue holders.
