They have a small studio and offer classes/ sessions for sewers and those learning, and have a small loft to store donated fabrics and other craft related stuff. They are poorly represented on the internet and are not in the same location as the Vineyard but the leader is Susie at wolsewing@vineyardcommunity.org address: Dickson House, Studio 1, 3 Grove Road,Richmond Tw10 6sp .

  • Also in their latest newsletter Richmond museum are also asking for scrap materials or unused haberdashery for their craft workshops. The contact there is Vicky Mcgarth who has attended our recent meetings as a guest and is our speaker for March. Her details are 020 8332 1141 learning@museumofrichmond.com

THE R&KQ WEBSITE

  • Plum is looking at overhauling our website (thank you Plum) If you visit any websites that are easy to navigate and have good sections that we could use for inspiration please do send us the links so Plum can have a look.

  • Do you run a website? Could you consider being a Website Deputy Editor???

  • Do you have any photos of a R&KQ group quilt that we could use for the home page? And do you know whose quilt is currently on the home page? We'd like to credit the makers of all the photos we have on the site

SPEAKERS AND WORKSHOPS

  • Do you have any recommendations for people we could approach to be a speaker and / or lead a one day workshop? If you've really enjoyed a patchwork or quilting class or book do give us their name and website so we can contact them

GROUP EQUIPMENT

We own quilt stands suitable for hanging quilts at an exhibition: Hilary has looked after these for us for some years but her circumstances have changed - does anyone have a garage loft or barn or outbuilding or similar that they could be stored in?

Thanks
