Region 2 Quilter's Guild Update from Jan Allston

Hello reader, I can't believe it's three weeks into March now and Spring is definitely on the way. The flowers look amazing in the gardens and at the roadsides. Such inspiration for new projects too! What have you planned for this year? Do let me know and I'll share it with our readers. Plans for Lullingstone Quilt & Craft Festival are well under way now and advance tickets are on sale on the Region 2 pages of the website. If you want to avoid queuing to get in, head over to the website and get your tickets there. There is a hefty discount for Quilters' Guild members. While you are at it, why not download the entry form for your quilt, quilt creation or challenge entry? We have a huge marquee booked for all the quilts and guest exhibits and we need your quilts to fill it! Free tickets for those who enter quilts and for anyone who can spend half a day helping at the show. Our traders are looking forward to seeing you in the two trading marquees as well. We have lots of quilting stalls along with the artisans and other craft demonstrators. I'm just finishing putting the workshop programme together now too so you'll be able to learn a new skill or find an idea for your group's Christmas Bazaar with our 'Make N Take' classes. Come and meet our new YQ rep too. Alison is going to put on a small event for young quilters of all ages. Ferret is going to open the show on the 15th July and then demonstrate with her longarm machine in the downstairs hall in the house. You will see some of her spectacular quilts as well there. I am really looking forward to seeing you there in July. Jan Allston
